A Magical Experience

How often do we think something negative during the day? If we would try to remember consciously we would not be able to do anything. We all have a shadow side and maybe the best thing is not to fight but just to accept it. How else could we recognise something good if we are not aware of the opposite. If someone is not doing what we were hoping for do we start to dislike that person, or do we understand that sometimes life is not working out the way we want it?

Buddha said once: if you say: "I want peace, you will be left with peace if you take away your ego and desire". Is it not easier to go with the flow? At a crossing we watch for the green light before we walk across, we know red means danger. Still in times of hurry we ignore the rules, because we want to get there earlier! Life presents us with all the right symbols at the right moments and they can carry the information for our next growing stage.

How can we recognise these messages? Simple open your eyes and ears, smell or touch and most of all open your heart. Does it feel good or does it feel bad?

Think and decide if it is good for you or not, and make a choice. Right, now we have made our choice, no one else other than you is responsible for it. Simple isn't it? No, because we realise we have no one to blame.

Does responsibility mean restriction or freedom for you? You are free in making your own choice and you are also free to accept the consequences. So you want the pleasure but not the pain. Our perception of experiences is the root of winning or losing.

Growing needs time, patience, nourishing and lots of light. We can receive joy and satisfaction in life from all the little steps we make on our growing path and if we want more and we want it now we have to accept the consequences of crossing while the red light is on.

Look around and become aware of the wonderful happenings in your life, like a stranger smiling, a surprising phone call, a bird sitting in your garden or a satisfied customer thanking you for your kind help. Life can also be a magical experience when we look in the mirror and smile at ourselves.
